I've spent my life filing things.

There's a particular satisfaction in making order out of chaos. The right folder. The right label. The right place for the right thing. A structure that finally makes sense — a space that feels calm.

Then came the internet. And then came content. And suddenly there was no filing cabinet big enough.

I watch a lot of YouTube. Science channels, philosophy, history, craft — the kind of content that actually teaches you something. Over the years I've found dozens of creators I'd send to a friend. But where did they live? In a notes app. A chaotic, unsearchable, un-shareable notes app.

I had Instagram for moments I loved. I had Spotify for music I loved. But there was nothing for the creators I loved. No beautiful shelf to put them on. No way to share them with someone and say — these are the ones worth your time.

So I built vuurate.

There's a reason vuurate feels the way it does.

Perth is the most isolated city in the world. It has space, pace, and very little noise. You learn quickly here that not everything deserves your attention — and that the things worth your time deserve to be treated well, shared carefully, and connected to the right people.
