1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Vuurate ("the platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Company Data Pty Ltd (ABN 123123123), a company registered in Australia ("we", "us", "our").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Vuurate. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.

3. Your Account

3.1 Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

3.2 Username

Your username forms your public profile URL (vuurate.com/@username). Choose it carefully — username changes may not always be possible.

3.3 Account Types

  • Curator (free): Access to core platform features as described on our pricing page
  • Tastemaker (paid subscription): Access to premium features as described on our pricing page
  • Cuurator (by invitation): A curated editorial role granted by Vuurate at our discretion

3.4 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without notice.

4. Content and Conduct

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create on Vuurate (shelves, descriptions, collections). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform and in marketing materials.

4.2 Prohibited Content

You must not post content that:

  • Is false, misleading, or deceptive
  • Infringes any third party's intellectual property rights
  • Is defamatory, harassing, or abusive
  • Promotes illegal activity
  • Contains spam, malware, or automated content designed to game the platform
  • Is generated entirely by AI without human curation or editorial judgment

4.3 AI-Generated Content

Vuurate is built on human taste and editorial judgment. You may use AI tools to assist with descriptions and tags, but the curation itself — the selection of creators and content — must reflect genuine human judgment. Shelves created solely through automated or AI-driven processes, with no meaningful human curation, are prohibited.

Cuurator accounts are held to a stricter standard: descriptions must be written by the account holder. AI-generated descriptions on Cuurator accounts are grounds for immediate account suspension.

4.4 Creator Content

Vuurate curates references to third-party creators (YouTube channels, Twitch streamers, etc.). We do not host or own this content. We are not responsible for third-party content referenced on the platform.

5. Affiliate Links and Earnings

5.1 Platform Affiliate Links

Vuurate participates in affiliate programs including Amazon Associates. On free Curator accounts, product links may include Company Data Pty Ltd's affiliate tag. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you or your audience.

5.2 Tastemaker Affiliate Links

Tastemaker subscribers may set their own affiliate tag in account settings. Where set, their tag is used on their product links and they earn commissions directly. Company Data Pty Ltd is not responsible for affiliate earnings, disputes, or program compliance for individual users.

5.3 Affiliate Disclosure

By using product links on Vuurate, you acknowledge that some links may be affiliate links. You are responsible for ensuring your own affiliate disclosures comply with applicable laws and platform policies (including Amazon Associates Programme Policies).

6. Subscriptions and Payments

6.1 Tastemaker Subscription

The Tastemaker subscription is billed monthly. Pricing is displayed on our pricing page and may change with notice.

6.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.

6.3 Downgrade

On cancellation or downgrade to free tier:

  • Custom backgrounds and patterns are hidden on your shelves
  • Product links revert to platform affiliate tag
  • Amazon product links remain visible; standard product links are reduced to 4 per shelf
  • Your data is not deleted

6.4 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our IP

The Vuurate name, logo, badge designs, and platform code are owned by Company Data Pty Ltd. You may not reproduce or use them without our written permission.

7.2 Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions about the platform, we may use them without compensation or attribution.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

8.1 No Warranty

Vuurate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

8.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Company Data Pty Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

8.3 Third Party Content

We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of third-party creator content referenced on the platform.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or platform notice. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
